HEARTS QUILT.

I finally finished the hearts quilt I was making. It took me a long time to finally finish it. It is also the biggest quilt I have ever made....3m x 2.70. I used all my Batik material for this quilt. Now I have an excuse to collect some more.
Here are couple of photos. It now belongs on my eldest daughter and her husbands bed.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Finally finished a quilt. We went to an old Mill while spending the festive period at our house at the dam. So took full advantage to photograph the quilt. Two Old Broads gave a demonstration at our guild. This is my version of the technique. Hopefully I will get more quilts finished this year.

WEEKEND FUN

We went to our dam house the weekend to do a major spring clean. The spiders had taken over as we have not been there much this summer.

I also got some time to relax and do a little quilting. We also got to take a ride on the boat.

Got back home to a heatwave and hit the pool with our grandchild.

LADIES NIGHT

My daughters Angie and Candice and my friend Hettie went with me to a local club to go see Richard Stirton. He won The Voice.  We had soo much fun that I forgot to take a photo of us four. 

I did not however forget to take lots of photos of Richard. 

It was an awesome show. My daughters even bought me his Cd and had him sign it.

HECTIC WEEKEND.

The weekend started very very early on Friday morning.....4.30 in the morning to be exact.  My niece was getting married at 2 in the afternoon in Johannesburg. It started raining at about 12 and never stopped till later the evening. Here is a photo of the newly weds.

We had a wonderful time. Was good to spend time with the family. 

On Saturday morning we went for breakfast and of course how can I go to Johannesburg and not go material shopping. My sister took me to a shop in Linden called Arthur Bales. Here is a photo of purchases.

I also said I would be my sisters plus 1 at her year end function. Here is a photo of us at party no 2.

I am very very happy the weekend is done and dusted. Now to get some well deserved rest.
